The recent news is that we’ve put a pair of tickets on hold for Antarctica, now comes the fun of paying for them. At the height of the Black Friday frenzy while WalMart shoppers were punching each other out over this year’s must have creepy talking animal, Magda found an amazing deal for a boat leaving Ushuaia, Argentina on January 13th and we had these tickets put aside. Our friends and acquaintances have been great so far helping us scrape together the funds. Keep in mind that this is hardly a charity situation but a really good opportunity to invest in some artwork by investing in the creation of said artwork. The photos you’ll be able to choose from (and for that matter, the drawings) won’t necessarily have to be from Antarctica, although we foresee this as an opportunity to shoot some incredibly cool images and a great way to thank you for investing in this leg of the trip. But a year is a long time, and all the Americas will afford lots of opportunities to photograph and sketch.
If you haven’t visited recently please head over to the Indiegogo page or pass along to anyone you know who might be interested!
Now, remember that there is more than one artist’s work to collect here. Magda is the big seller so far, for which we are very grateful, but I’ve sketched a few penguins in my day and I would love to decorate your walls with pencil drawings from the trip. Soon I’ll post some images up here similar to what you might expect if you’d like to invest in an original Ian Webster.
